BRISTOL RADICAL FILM FESTIVAL
Panel Discussion: TRACE AND LABOUR IN STRUCTURAL/MATERIALISM: THEN AND NOW

As part of Bristol Radical Film Festival, BEEF will chair a panel to discuss how the collective political gesture of the British Structural/Materialist Film of the 1970s might be reframed in a contemporary context. The panel will consider the legacy of these iconic experimental films in the current climate where we are witnessing the re-emergence of film collectives and the desire by a younger generation to work with analogue film.

The event will be accompanied by a screening of films by Guy Sherwin and Lis Rhodes alongside contemporary works by BEEF members Stephen Cornford, Louisa Fairclough and Vicky Smith.
