SONIC HIDE & SEEK : WORKSHOP

Make an experimental sound piece.
This sound-oriented workshop will be a day-long, hands-on opportunity for making, learning and discussion. We’ll be investigating the relocation of sound and extended listening practices within the spaces and fabric of the old Brunswick Club building.
Participants will:
>Use sound recording devices and microphones designed to pick up sound through different materials
>Explore recording in different spaces in and outside our building
>Create temporary sound installations using a variety of speakers and transducers
The workshop is led by BEEF members Shirley Pegna and Melanie Clifford, artists whose interdisciplinary practices concern space, sound, music, moving image, broadcast and landscape.
