Emmanuelle Waeckerle works across media, using her voice to both extraordinary and ordinary effect to create acoustic renderings of literature. Her experimental writing responds to the material and visual qualities of language, and from these she generates scores.

She has performed internationally, recently to launch her ‘Ode (owed) to O’ released in July 2017 by Wandelweiser. with a.pe.ri.od.ic, a Chicago-based performance collective, and “Speak//If You can: Text, Scores, Performance with Antoine Beuger at London’s Cafe Oto.

For a week she will inhabit the Brunswick Club as artist-in-residence and respond to the building’s material and sonic qualities through the forms of singing, reading & writing and score creation.

We invite you on Sunday 18th November to the culmination of Emmanuelle’s activities: a workshop/exhibition/intervention and discussion on ambient and experimental literature with Tom Abba of UWE.
